Cara Lynn Albert is the author of Worshipping the Sun, a debut story collection publishing August 3, 2027 from Santa Fe Writers Project. Originally from Florida, she now lives in Nashville, Tennessee, but she’s still deeply attached to the state’s strange landscapes and emotional weather, which keep turning up in her work no matter how far she wanders. She is currently at work on her debut novel.

Her writing is drawn to complexity, contradiction, and the small, revealing moments where people surprise themselves. Cara teaches creative writing with The Porch in Nashville, and outside of writing and reading she spends her time watching movies, traveling, talking loudly, and paying close attention to the stories people tell, especially the ones they don’t realize they’re telling.
