Cara Lynn Albert

Cara Lynn Albert is a writer of short fiction and creative nonfiction. Initially, she strived to become a chef until she was fired after a month of working at an Orlando restaurant. She then tried her hand at filmmaking, completing her one and only short film. Now, she’s writing, and things seem to be going better.

Cara completed her BA degree in English at the University of Central Florida and her MFA degree in Creative Writing at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she worked as a Graduate Instructor and served as the Editor-in-Chief of TIMBER Journal.

Her writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in The Florida Review, New Ohio Review, Bat City Review, Catapult, Post Road, Baltimore Review, and elsewhere. Cara lives in Nashville, Tennessee and is currently seeking representation for her debut short story collection.
